VonShef Turbo Air Fryer Review
VonShef is well-known for their blenders, milk frothers and ice cream makers, but they also have several air fryer models. Today we’ll review one of them: The VonShef Turbo Air fryer 6-in-1.

The VonShef air fryer is using halogen technology combined with air to prepare the food.
It’s quite a multi-tasker as well: it can bake, fry, (spit) roast, and grill and comes with 4 accessories to make things easier. We think the VonShef is comparable to the Gourmia GTA1500 and falls in the same price range.
With its 10.5 quarts/10-liter capacity it’s no the largest air fryer on the market but does hold up pretty well: You can grill a whole chicken with the VonShef and fry enough chips for 3-4 people.
What’s In The Box?
Aside from the VonShef Turbo Air Fryer main unit, you’ll also find an instruction manual, baking cage, dual rack (for layering different foods or preparing pizza), tongs and a rotisserie fork to grill chicken.

VonShef Turbo Air Fryer Usage
The instruction manual for the VonShef is pretty much useless and leaves a lot to be desired.
However, the control panel is not that difficult to figure out and we like the different presets available:
Speedy – Use this setting for frying meat or steaming vegetables or preparing any food in record time
Roast – Use this setting combined with the rotisserie fork to roast the perfect chicken.
Fries – Makes perfectly crispy fries with just a tablespoon of oil. Can be used with the baking cage.
Bake – This setting uses a low temperature and is perfect for baking cakes, cookies, bread, quiche, and other delicious goodies.
Pizza – Use this setting with the dual rack included to bake a delicious pizza to perfection
Steak – Steak is cooked to your liking with this setting.
Skewer – Similar to the roast setting, but with a shorter cooking time
VonShef Air Fryer Cooking Tips:
There’s no recipe book included with the air fryer, but there are plenty of recipes available on the web (search YouTube). If you prefer a book try this one by Allison Waggoner.
Chips
You can either use homemade fries or shop-bought. If you make the fries yourself make sure to add some oil to ensure they’re crispy. Frozen fries are already oiled and don’t need any additional oil or fat.
You can prepare about 2 lb of fries in 20-25 minutes. Set the time to 20 minutes first and check. If needed add another 5 minutes. They will come out crisp and golden.
Chicken
You can roast a medium-sized chicken using the skewer. Lightly baste the chicken with oil and set the timer for 40 minutes for the perfect roast chicken
Chicken Wings
Depending on the size you can fry 8-12 chicken wings in one go. Preparation time is 15-20 minutes.
Conclusion
The VonShef air fryer is a great multi-cooker that comes with a set of accessories to prepare a range of foods to perfection. It’s so versatile and flexible, you can cook a 3-course meal with it!
It’s excellent value for money especially compared to the more expensive air fryers like Philips and T-Fal.
The only downside so far has been the poor instruction manual. You’ll need to figure out the control panel first, but once you got the hang of it, it’s a great addition to your kitchen.
